I was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and then later moved to Southern New Jersey where I graduated from high school.
In 1991, I began to take painting and drawing classes at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts where I learned the formal approach by drawing the human body from plaster casts of Greek statues.
I later attended
Rutgers University where I received a BA in Art concentrating on painting and computer graphics.
I later obtained a job as the Art Director for Barber Resources for the Delaware Valley. An organization that assists mentally and physically challenged individuals to become more independent.  Through their work I began to gain a better appreciation of color, line and form.
I moved to Boston in 2001 to pursue a Masters degree in Library and Information Science and during that time I interned at
The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. While there I was able to learn from their vast collection of work that people never change in the pursuit of the aesthetics.
I am presently working on a book of poetry and illustrations, creating websites and painting.
